Dr. Miguel Velez III, DMD

Dr. Miguel Velez III recently relocated from New England to North Carolina. He has been practicing dentistry since 2020 and has been involved with dentistry for 16 years. He was formerly trained as a dental assistant at a vocational high school, where his passion for patient care was formed. He followed his dream to ultimately become a dentist.

A distinguished University of New England College of Dental Medicine graduate, Dr. Miguel earned his Doctor of Dental Medicine degree and was inducted into the esteemed Omicron Kappa Upsilon (OKU) National Dental Honor Society. His academic achievements were further recognized as the sole recipient of the Academic Achievement Award within his dental class.

In 2021, Dr. Miguel was commissioned as a member of the United States Army National Guard, currently holding the rank of Captain. His dedication to serving his fellow soldiers extends to ensuring their well-being, particularly in maintaining optimal dental health.

Dr. Miguel adopts a patient-centered approach to treatment planning, valuing the development of strong relationships with his patients. He takes the time to thoroughly discuss treatment options, ensuring that his patients are fully informed and comfortable with their decisions. One of the most gratifying aspects of his career is witnessing his positive impact on his patients’ self-esteem and confidence.

Dr. Miguel cherishes his time with his wife and daughter in his free time. They enjoy exploring the diverse trails and mountains of North Carolina. Dr. Miguel has developed a passion for Spartan Races. In 2024, he completed his first Ultra Marathon. Additionally, he enjoys riding his motorcycle with friends and maintaining a regular fitness routine at the gym.
