Dr. Marc Gonzalez
Although he was born in Miami, Florida, Dr. Marc Gonzalez was raised in Charlotte, NC from the age of three. His first exposure to dentistry did not happen until he was 10 since his parents faced financial and cultural barriers after immigrating from Cuba.
At his first visit, Dr. Gonzalez experienced pain from several cavities, but his pediatric dentist made it a comfortable and memorable experience, ultimately sparking his interest in what would be his career and passion. He went on to shadow other dentists and intern, where he realized how important it was to get patients out of pain and give them their smiles back.
Dr. Gonzalez received his BA in Chemistry from UNC Chapel Hill and his DDS from UNC Adams School of Dentistry. While in dental school, Dr. Marc helped operate a free urgent-care dental clinic and participated in two international dental service trips in Mexico and Moldova. He has also volunteered with various NC Mission of Mercy clinics. With his new practice, he plans to provide community support to local schools and show his gratitude to the educators and speech therapist he had when he was a child.
Additionally, Dr. Marc is dedicated to life-long learning in his profession and keeps up to date with the latest trends in dentistry to help better serve his patients. His dedication to continuing education is evident with over 600 continuing education hours and in his pursuit of a Fellowship with the Academy of General Dentistry. Dr. Marc is also a member with the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry.
During his free time, Dr. Gonzalez enjoys hiking, weightlifting, reading, yoga, and meditation. He also loves traveling, spending time with his loved ones, and watching anime.

At Embark Dental, we accept many different insurance plans, such as MetLife, Delta, and Untied Healthcare just to name a few. Our office will happily file and track your claims after each appointment. Please bring your insurance card to each appointment so that we can ensure your file is up to date.
